Hi everyone, I’m Morgan, the CEO of ReBELLEous, LLC, Creator and Editor-in- Chief of REBELLEOUS (check out our app on the Apple App Store & Google Play), Motivational Speaker, Marketing Strategist and also a certified Life Coach! I help people discover, define and develop their purpose to connect to fulfilling careers - that is my purpose and assignment.
I'm a native of the beautiful "Sparkle City", Spartanburg, SC and a honors graduate of the illustrious South Carolina State University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and my Master studies in Organizational Leadership at Columbia College and currently pursuing my Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership at Northeastern University. It is truly my passion to explore the visions of people to promote their advancement in all industries.
I have been coaching people in their career journey and/or purpose for over 5 years. In my experience, we all know what it is we really want to do, sometimes we just need support to visualize it or design a plan to get there. There is a career out there that aligns with your assignment, connects you to your purpose and makes your work fulfilling. As your coach, you’ve got this and will be confident with a plan after our sessions!
I understand how difficult and intimidating it can feel/be to break into a new industry. As an agent of change, I have dedicated myself as leader to promote the visibility of others in their organizations through my coaching services and working with me; especially those who are marginalized, like Black women. Visibility is key in organizational progression and leadership. I have served in leadership roles early in my career and learned then that in order to lead through visibility, leaders have to be able to lead with heart, accountability, relationships, inclusiveness and aware of hazardous behaviors. We all are leaders and don’t have to possess “leadership titles” to lead, establish/inspire change.
Our career/life journeys can be challenging. We see everyone’s lives and accomplishments (never failures) with one thumb scroll. We get afraid, stuck and consumed with what everyone else will think about what we’re doing or launching and will they not only just notice it but tap that little heart on the corner for approval. We’re in a constant competition with everyone else and function off of comparison.
I understand the struggle of discovering your personal gifts and talents and the simple question of “what am I good at” then applying it to your daily life in order to be happy or fulfilled. I’ve suffered from depression and anxiety, and have had to move, walk out of situations and jobs that left me unfulfilled. I mastered how to look like I had it all together and to trick myself that I was still in control.
I learned that my unique set of gifts did not have to be “generalized” in order for me to be successful and fulfilled. But learning how to utilize them was key. There is a name for the purposeful career you are trying to pursue, and if you have to make it up - do it. I kept thinking that maybe the next “big thing” would be a fit for me and I’d finally feel fulfilled in my career. But, I was channeling all outside energy instead of my own during my exploration process. Nothing was working for me because I wasn’t owning what my true skills, strengths and gifts were, but what I thought looked good on paper.
I’ve always wanted to help and encourage people to live to their greatest potential and create a life that they absolutely love and that’s through connecting them to meaningful careers and a purposeful life. I’m here to help you discover your purpose and gifts to give back to this world. The dream you have for yourself has the momentum to come true. I love listening to people and helping them design a plan to make their passion their paycheck. I fully believe it is my calling to help you discover, define and ultimately develop your purpose/passion/gift and I am dedicated to do so. No matter what you’re going through you have the power to change your life and it is absolutely never too late.
I thoroughly believe in living your true authentic self no matter what, with no regrets! Doing what makes you happy without even considering the judgement behind it. I encourage you to be a badass, break barriers, achieve your goals; be confident and love yourself relentlessly.
